Start With the Campaign Rules
Before cleaning the export, confirm the audience definition, excluded companies, geography, title rules, required fields, suppression lists, and delivery format.
A file that looks large is not always campaign-ready. The useful file is the one that fits the campaign brief and can be explained clearly.
Common Cleanup Steps
Apollo exports may need deduplication across contacts and companies, title review, missing-field enrichment, domain cleanup, validation indicators, and client-specific suppressions before they are ready for outreach.
- Remove duplicate contacts and duplicate companies
- Normalize company names, domains, titles, and locations
- Apply client-provided suppression and exclusion lists
- Flag catch-all, unknown, or review-needed email indicators
- Prepare delivery columns for the outreach platform
What to Watch Out For
Do not assume every exported record is a good fit. Old titles, broad filters, weak company matches, duplicate domains, and missing validation fields can waste campaign effort.
Also avoid loading a cleaned file into outreach without checking suppressions, prior campaign recipients, excluded domains, and bounced emails where those files are available.
How EnrichPilot Helps
EnrichPilot can review an Apollo export, apply dedupe and suppression rules, enrich missing fields, add validation indicators where available, identify replacement contacts where possible, and return campaign-ready delivery notes.
Tool references are examples of source-file formats. EnrichPilot does not claim official Apollo integration unless separately agreed.
